The Hardy Ultralight Zephrus is an older series that was discontinued. This is one of the lightest rods Hardy ever produced using Hardy’s Sintrix Technology. This is an incredibly lightweight rod. This rod is one of our very favorite dry fly rods. If you are a spring creek angler, you’ll love it.
This rod has a 4 piece Sintrix 440 Blank that is 30% light than traditional graphite rods. These blanks are 65% stronger than most traditional models. This series uses REC recoil guide that are lightweight and if bent, bounce back into place. This series has a unique reel seat with a burlwood insert and a cork section leaving the rod blank exposed to decrease weight.
This rod comes with a Hardy rod tube with a silver body. Also included is a rod sock. These are brand new models.
The longer rods are ideal for nymphing or wet fly fishing but make great dry fly rods. The traditional 9’ 5 weight is traditional trout rod, ideal for dry fly fishing or large rivers. These are one of my favorite Hardy rods ever made, these are no longer available.
