Veevus Gel Spun Poly (GSP) Thread

Veevus GSP ( Gel Spun Poly ) Thread is made of bonded kevlar ( used on military and police uniforms ) used for extra strength. GSP is generally used with deer hair, some midge tyers prefer the smaller sizes. This GSP is 67% stronger than other brands. The size is based on the size of your hook, fine sizes are for smaller hooks, large sizes deer hair or saltwater.

Note: we strongly suggest using a ceramic bobbins and also using a cauterizer to melt the ends. GSP can score metal bobbins and dull scissors. This material doesn’t dye well and most dyed colors aren’t bright or will keep dye well.

We stock 2 colors and 5 sizes. 30D means: 30 denier and so on. The smaller the number in this case, the smaller the thread. If you are looking for strong threads that aren’t as aggressive we can suggest using Danville Plus, Flat Waxed Nylon or Monocord.
